We are currently looking for volunteers who can assist in the following areas:

About the Position

The Social Media Manager will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing our online presence. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and posting content, engaging with our audience, and using social media to expand our reach and influence.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Creating, managing, and growing the organization’s presence through blogs, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and other strategically relevant online platforms.
  • Generating, editing, publishing, and sharing engaging content daily (e.g., original text, photos, videos, news).
  • Monitoring online conversations and participating in those conversations to build brand visibility and thought leadership.
  • Responding to comments and customer queries in a timely manner.
  • Developing social media strategies and campaigns to increase engagement and reach.

 

Basic Requirements

  • Knowledge of major social media platforms and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to create engaging and compelling content.
  • Basic understanding of social media metrics and campaign evaluation.
  • Good organizational skills, ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Passion for our organization’s mission.

 

Time Commitment

This position is a part-time role, requiring approximately 5-10 hours per week.

Position Summary:

We have multiple event volunteer positions available to assist us in our annual fundraiser, and other events we may host throughout the year.

Position Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to take direction and follow through on instructions
  • This position is intermittent. Our annual fundraiser is approximately 10-15 hours of volunteer work.

Event Volunteer Responsibilities:

Event volunteers will be assigned one more multiple tasks that could include the following:

  • Welcoming and greeting attendees
  • Way-finding and support (directing guests, general guest assistance)
  • Registration and check-in (must be computer literate)
  • Answering attendee questions throughout the event
  • Managing distractions (doors open and closing)
  • Supporting the speaker(s)
  • Pre-Event setup (distributing event materials, table setup, etc.)
  • Post-Event tear-down (cleaning up after the event)

About the Position

The Candidate Research Volunteer will play a critical role in our organization, working closely with our team to research and provide insights into potential candidates for various political offices.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conducting comprehensive research on political candidates including their background, policy positions, voting history, and public statements.
  • Creating detailed, unbiased reports on each candidate for use in our voter education materials.
  • Staying up-to-date with current events and political news relevant to the candidates.
  • Participating in team meetings and presenting research findings as needed.

 

Requirements

  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Interest in politics and current events.
  • Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to unbiased, accurate reporting.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer literacy skills including familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
  • Ability to research independently. Access to social media platforms, including, but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Truth Social, etc.

 

Time Commitment

The time commitment for this role is flexible, but we estimate that it will require approximately 2 hours per candidate researched, which can be done remotely.

The Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating visual concepts that inspire, inform, and captivate our audience. Your graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message about our organization and its mission.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Developing and designing graphics for web, social media, print, and other marketing materials.
  • Collaborating with our team to create visuals for campaigns and events.
  • Ensuring all designs adhere to guidelines and convey the organization’s mission and values.
  • Participating in the entire design process, from concept to completion.

 

Basic Requirements

  • Proven graphic design experience with a strong portfolio.
  • Proficiency in graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Strong creativity and conceptual skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail.
  • Passion for our organization’s mission.

 

Time Commitment

This position is a part-time role, requiring approximately 2-5 hours a week.
